Garigal National Park is a favourite haunt of mine, being so close to my home. I can be out of site of homes within 15 minutes. Popular with bushwalkers, Garigal has an extensive trail system, and it is serves aas a refuge for a great number of animals, some of them threatened. It also has a wide variety of vegetation. I have included below, a series of photographs of which I'm quite proud. All theses photos were taken this last Summer along the Cascades track, where you'll see Red Bloodwoods, Scribbly Gums, and Sydney Red Gums. Towards the creek at the bottom of the valley, are Lyrebirds, Gerygone's, Whistlers and Wrens. Large trees give way to various species of Banksia and Wattle. Boronia and Mountain Devils are scattered amongst the undergrowth.
This video is a short 30 sec visit through it's natural habitat. The animal shown is an artists representation.

"I still keep in touch with the Bandstand family. I guess I talk to most of them. When I talk about Sandy Scott, Little Pattie and Judy Stone and Brian Henderson , I speak to them probably once or twice a week. It's still a family. That family thing is still there. The entertainment industry is a very strange fraternity. Even though a lot of times you don't see a lot of people for maybe 12 months, I have a group of people that are very close friends". Happy Jan 1 2024! I suppose like most people I have promised myself some self control and purpose, and therefore, I have changed direction of my art. I hope you like it: My latest piece of art takes a departure from the ordinary, offering a surreal landscape that turns our gaze upward as Earth rises against an imaginary backdrop. Amidst this cosmic scene, abstract bird shapes navigate an otherworldly landscape, blurring the lines between reality and imagination. In this latest creation, I aim to take viewers on a visual journey that challenges preconceived notions of reality. Earth's ascent, accompanied by abstract bird shapes in an imaginary landscape, serves as an exploration into the uncharted territories of artistic expression. This piece is an invitation to contemplate the interconnectedness of the tangible and the intangible, encouraging a deeper dive into the boundless realms of imagination.
