INXS. The Very Best Album of 2014.

Image
2014 was a great year for the Australian Music Legends INXS . A renewed interest in the band followed success of the mini series Never Tear Us Apart and the GQ Legends of The Year Award. And now it seems the saying 'golden oldies' rings true for rock band INXS.  Their greatest hits compilation, The Very Best, was named the most popular album of the year by ARIA, The Australian Record Industry Association. The band from left; Andrew Fariss, Kirk Pengilly, Tim Fariss and Jon Fariss (Gary Beers absent) were presented with plaques at Universal Music Headquarters in Sydney in November to mark quadruple platinum sales of INXS-The Very Best. Sales for the 2011 released record spiked in February this year, after the mini-series INXS: Never Tear Us Apart aired on the Seven Network. The group also had six other albums and nine singles enter back into the charts, decades after they were first released.

Many Beach to Shelly Beach Walk

Image
We took an easy walk from Manly Beach to Shelly Beach, alongside the ocean all the way. At the halfway point are two cafes at Fairy Bower, offering an chance to stop for a warming coffee. Close by to the coffee shops sits Fairy Bower Baths. Young and old are well protected from the ocean waves.  Others sit on nearby rocks to sunbake and take in the views Manly Beach, sea and skyscrapers. Shelley Beach is a small sheltered cove ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Divers enter the calm waters here and work their way round the nearby rocks and crevices There is anecdotal evidence from regular divers that the abundance and diversity of marine life has increased significantly in this time, however no formal studies have been conducted.
