Janice Slater





Currently, a vocal coach, composer, sound designer and script editor, Janice Slater has worked with many, many music legends; 






Janice has worked with Johnny O’Keefe, Col Joy & the Joye Boys, The Easybeats, Cold Chisel, Sammy Davis Jnr, Bobby Day, George Chakaris (West Side Story) Lesley Gore, Billy Preston, Shirley Bassey, The Hollies - Lou Rawls, Trini Lopez, The Four Tops, The Three Degrees, Phil Silvers. In the UK she worked with Cliff Richard, Olivia Newton John, Cilla Black, Petula Clark, Cleo Laine and Frankie Miller. In Australia she recorded with Billy Thorpe (It's Almost Summer) Cold Chisel (Northbound Train) Alison MacCallum, Kevin Johnston, Mike McClelland, John Robinson, John English, Anne Kirkpatrick, Dan Jonston.


Janice was vocal coach for Australian movie Starstruck, directed by Gillian Armstrong, and for Kafka Dances starring Cate Blanchett. 2007, she co-composed Awakened State, Buddhist mantras in collaboration with Bruno Libert.
In 2009, 'ARTERIAL FLOW' was developed with Kirk Kadish. 'ARTERIAL FLOW' secured a publishing contract for their first collaboration with Centrifuge Publishing (Aust).
Janice Slater was a leading figure in Australian pop music from 1964, she opened for Billy Preston; Bobby Day; The Four Tops; George Chakiris (West Side Story); The Hollies; Johnny O’Keefe; Lesley Gore, Lou Rawls; Phil Silvers & sang with the In People on the same bill as Sammy Davis, Junior; Shirley Bassey; The Three Degrees; and Trini Lopez.
