Diana Rouvas Wins The Voice Grand Final

Reflecting on their time together on TCN 9's The Voice,  Boy George told Diana Rouvas,  " You've been around a while and you know what you're looking for" The couple had worked well together. Boy George as coach and Diana Rouvas combining her wonderful talent with her previous experience on the show. Normie Rowe. A Compulsory Hero

This year as part of Australia's 2019 Anzac Memorial, Normie Rowe spoke with 2GB's Alan Jones about the inspiration for his new  single. . Normie  has released a new song, Compulsory Hero" reflecting on his service in Vietnam. Normie Rowe was one of the biggest pop stars in Australia when he was conscripted into the Vietnam War in 1969. The nation was involved in the Vietnam War, and 20 year olds were liable for conscription into the military. Normie Rowe's name came up in first 1968 intake. Most conscripts were selected by a ballot of birthday dates but Normie would find out much later, that his birthday was not one of those that was drawn out. It has been suggested by many, that Normie had been conscripted because of who he was.
 He served time in Vietnam, and was one of the lucky ones to return. But those two years away from his fans cost him dearly.  His two-year stint in the army curtailed his music career, forcing him to start from scratch when he returned.

Two “New Age” Schoolboys Launch Their Own Radio Show.

Community radio is once again, proving its’ worth to the local area.  Radio Northern Beaches RNB 88.7 FM  has provided an opportunity to two boys from French‘s Forest to begin their careers. An inspiration for job seeking school leavers, local teenagers, Will Dubé, and Riley Eavis, have brought their love of music to the airwaves with a regular Friday night gig on New Age Radio Northern Beaches RNB 88.7 FM .   Both boys attend French’s Forest High School and what began as work experience during their spare time, soon became a valuable voluntary role in the management and promotion of the radio station. Live “Freestyle” interviews and lots of hip hop have  become the regular format for their hour long 7.30pm show. “New Age with Will and Riley” Recently, fans enjoyed a live interview with Pork MC, Pork MC the fast rising rap artist. Not ready yet to sing "bye Bye Baby" for the last time, Col entertained patients and carers at the Chris O'Brien Lifehouse recently, June 4 2019, to mark the 10th anniversary of Chris O'Briens passing. Said to be friends and neighbours of Chris and his wife Gail, Col did it for love, not money. Col's voice is as strong as it ever was. Col Joye, is an Australian popular entertainer and entrepreneur.  Col was the first Australian rock and roll singer to have a number one record Australia-wide, and experienced a string of chart successes in the early Australian rock and roll scene.
