The Easybeats Spectacular special on Channel 7, was hosted by Billy Thorpe and telecast in July 1966, on the eve of the Easys' trip to the UK. The show starred the Easybeats of course, and featured Janice Slater and Tony Worsley . This farewell to the Easybeats, on the eve of their trip to the UK, is regarded as an iconic sixties Australian pop TV presentation. Watch, and you'll see great footage, the usual screaming teenagers, Go-Go girls, Mod dancing and interviews with the band and their manager. The first video is a playlist of the whole spectacular, or you may wish to choose from all the videos belowt to play your favourite. English born Toni McCann emigrated to Australia around the age of 15, where immdiately she set about forging in her way in the music business. After a meeting at a talent contest with beat group The Blue Jays and regularly performing live as their leading lady she scored a regular slot on the Saturday Date music show as well as laying down the shows title theme.
